[Botan-devel] RFC: removing inifile.cpp and the config= argument to initializer

Does anyone use the functionality provided by config= to provide
external policy information (or even if not, does anyone want to
argue for its continued existence?)

Keeping a block of rarely used/tested code that opens an
arbitrary file and tries to parse it using adhoc methods seems
pretty dicey to me, and my guess is that it's never been used,
since most of the time the compiled-in policy is fine with at
most minor alterations.
