[cryptography] short signature scheme?

I guess DSA should give 40 bytes +- a bit of boiler plate.

I have some code at http://www.cypherspace.org/openpgp/pgpdsa/ that creates
and verifies somewhat PGP/GPG compatible DSA sigs.

(It uses openssl for the bignum library I use DSA_do_sign & DSA_do_verify).
