[cryptography] Biggest Fake Conference in Computer Science

It all depends on your assumptions. If a conference is a valid way to
advance knowledge, then many conferences is surely a good thing?

If only one sort of conference is the only way to advance knowledge,
then all other conferences are anti-knowledge. Evil. This man must be
stopped.

OTOH, if conferences are bastions of knowledge designed to keep the
franchise held tightly by the same group of insiders, led by crusty
tired cartels of senile self-serving professors, then alternatives are a
good thing.

What conference was Satoshi Nakamoto's paper published at?
